Interior Design Color Trend: Black and White

A big color trend that we are seeing in the interior design world is the combination of black and white.  Black and white was everywhere during Fall Fashion Week 2012, showcasing Spring 2013 fashion trends.  And you may remember my post on Christy's trip to Brizo's Fashion Week Event, Jason Wu's runway show for Spring 2013 consisted mainly of a black and white color scheme.

It's also popping up everywhere in industry magazines and at various interior design trade shows.  Black and white is a classic color scheme that will always stand the test of time.  It's always the trusted go-to look for fashion, and is beginning to be a staple go-to look for interior design.  You just cannot go wrong with black and white!

Black and white has been a backdrop for interior design for centuries, from the flooring at Versailles Grand Trianon...

Black and white is popping up in the showrooms as well!

House Beautiful Chair Chase 2013 theme was Old Hollywood Glamour, and what better way to describe that era than black and white!

Around the Table: Easter Inspiration

Sunday is Easter, and in my home it's a day of family spending time together and gathering around the table.  After all isn't that where most of our holidays take place, around the table?

An inviting table decorated with the season's best and holiday's decor is always a great way to add cheer in your home.  And what a better compliment to your home than having your family gather around the Easter table adorned with festive fresh spring flowers and fresh homemade dishes.

Enjoy these examples of beautifully decorated tables, and it's not too late to use these ideas for your home!
